All are welcome to join us to listen and support live jazz at one of NYC’s most vibrant venues. The music starts at 9 pm, bring your bandoneon!
About Emilio Teubal: Pianist and Composer from Argentina based in NYC for over 17 years. After 10 years of leading his owns bands, and three records released as a band leader, Mr Teubal presents his latest ensemble: a chamber-like ensemble consisting of Piano, Spanish guitar and Clarinet. The music written especially for this ensemble, draws from a wide variety of musical styles that are part of Mr Teubal cultural background: Latin-American Folk music, Tango music, Jazz, Free improvisation, Classical music and some hints of Middle Eastern music.
About Federico Diaz:
Originating from Mendoza, Argentina, Federico Díaz is an emerging force in classical and Argentinian music circles, renowned for his versatility as a guitarist, arranger, and composer. His compelling performances have captivated audiences in leading venues and festivals across three continents, reinforcing his status as an artist of passion and distinction. Díaz has a rich history of collaborations with notable artists such as Lionel Cottet and Daniel Binelli.
His recordings with Sony Classical and Epsa Music have added to his acclaim. Educated at top institutions including the National University of Cuyo and the Manhattan School of Music, he has been shaped by masters like Eliot Fisk and David Starobin. Presently, Díaz is finalizing his Doctorate in Performance at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, under Frederic Hand's expert guidance.
About Iván Barenboim:
Iván Barenboim, an accomplished clarinetist from Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a product of extensive training under Marcelo Moguilevsky, Marcelo Katz, and Adriana de los Santos. Prior to his 2006 relocation to New York, he graced the stages of Teatro Colon and several esteemed venues across Buenos Aires, Europe, and the UK, including notable performances at the Siemens Art Festival in Germany and the Fronteras Latin American Festival in London.
In New York, Iván has left his musical imprint by performing and recording with the likes of Roberto Rodriguez’s Cuban-Jewish All Stars, John Zorn's Masada Octet, and the Go: Organic Orchestra led by Adam Rudolph. He's also shared the stage with Fernando Otero, Jen Shyu, Pablo Ziegler, and even the legendary Joan Baez, showcasing his versatile musicianship across various prestigious venues and festivals.
Beyond his performance career, Iván has been nurturing the arts community as an artist-in-residence at Central Synagogue since 2007 and imparting his expertise as a part-time faculty member at the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music since 2008. His work has not only been featured in prominent theaters in Argentina and Spain but has also echoed through the halls of New York's diverse music scene.
