A Tango Jazz Jam session for all musicians to perform and collaborate one Sunday a month in Queens, NY. All performers are welcome to sit in and play with the house band hosted by pianist Emilio Teubal, and his guests. All are welcome to join us to listen and support live jazz at one of NYC’s most vibrant venues. The music starts at 9 pm, bring your bandoneon!

About Emilio Teubal: Pianist and Composer from Argentina based in NYC for over 17 years. After 10 years of leading his owns bands, and three records released as a band leader, Mr Teubal presents his latest ensemble: a chamber-like ensemble consisting of Piano, Spanish guitar and Clarinet. The music written especially for this ensemble, draws from a wide variety of musical styles that are part of Mr Teubal cultural background: Latin-American Folk music, Tango music, Jazz, Free improvisation, Classical music and some hints of Middle Eastern music.

About Franco Pinna:

Franco, a highly acclaimed drummer and percussionist, has made an indelible mark in the world of music. Hailing from Tucumán, Argentina, he established himself as a prominent figure in the vibrant Argentinean music scene and earned the prestigious "Outstanding Musicianship" scholarship at Berklee College of Music. Based in New York City, Pinna has contributed his distinctive rhythms to over 70 albums across various genres and regions. His versatile setup includes the traditional drum set and his unique instrument, the "Arpalegüera," which blends the tones of the Andean Charango, African Kora, and Asian Koto. Pinna's solo performances captivate audiences with mesmerizing fusion, showcasing his rhythmic expertise and passion for percussion alongside his collaborations with notable artists. His career is a testament to his dedication, innovation, and ability to bridge cultures through music, continuing to inspire worldwide.

About Pablo Lanouguere:

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Pablo Lanouguere is a prolific musician and composer now based in New York City. He's a sought-after musician who collaborates with prominent artists and groups spanning various genres, including Tango, Jazz, Latin-Jazz, Swing, Salsa, Classical, and World Music. He has graced iconic NYC venues like Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and The National Sawdust, among others. Over the years, Lanouguere has worked with notable artists such as Raul Jaurena, Fernando Otero, and the Astoria Tango Orchestra. He is a founding member of Abaddon, a traditional Tango Sextet, and leads the "Pablo Lanouguere Quintet," which released his debut album, "Eclectico" (Piano Piano Records). Lanouguere was awarded a grant by the "Cafe Royal Cultural Foundation" to produce his second album titled "Altar" in 2021, and he received a NYFA City Artists Corps grant in the same year to produce and perform with his quintet in New York City. Additionally, he has been involved in various theater productions and holds a degree in Jazz Music from the Escuela de Musica Popular de Avellaneda in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
