A Tango Jazz Jam session for all musicians to perform and collaborate once a month in Queens, NY. All performers are welcome to sit in and play with the house band hosted by pianist Emilio Teubal, and his guests. All are welcome to join us to listen and support live jazz at one of NYC’s most vibrant venues. The music starts at 9 pm, bring your bandoneon!

About Emilio Teubal: 

Pianist and Composer from Argentina based in NYC for over 17 years. After 10 years of leading his owns bands, and three records released as a band leader, Mr Teubal presents his latest ensemble: a chamber-like ensemble consisting of Piano, Spanish guitar and Clarinet. The music written especially for this ensemble, draws from a wide variety of musical styles that are part of Mr Teubal cultural background: Latin-American Folk music, Tango music, Jazz, Free improvisation, Classical music and some hints of Middle Eastern music.

About Franco Pinna:

He started his musical career as a drummer and percussionist in 1988 in Tucumán, Argentina where he performed and recorded with some of the most prominent musicians of the country.

In 1998 , Franco moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music , where he obtained the “Outstanding Musicianship” scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude .

Since he moved to New York in 2004 , he has worked as a sideman , playing a wide variety of rhythms and has recorded more than 70 albums accompanying many artists around the globe. He has also taught South American rhythms in various  seminars .

About Pablo Lanouguere:

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Pablo Lanouguere is an active musician and composer based out in New York City. As a sought after musician, he regularly plays with renowned artists and bands of Tango, Jazz, Latin-Jazz, Swing, Salsa, Classical and World Music. He has played at some of the most important venues in NYC such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The National Sawdust, Zinc Bar, Bryant Park Music Festival, SOB'S, Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, The Django, among others.

Over the past few years, Mr. Lanouguere has collaborated with artists such as Raul Jaurena, Fernando Otero, Daniel Binelli & Astoria Tango Orchestra, Adam Tully, Tipica Messiez, The Queens Cartoonists. Additionally, he has also toured around the US with several American & Argentine bands.

Since 2016 he is founding member of Abaddon, a traditional Tango Sextet based in New York City. Since 2019, he leads the "Pablo Lanouguere Quintet" group which he released his first album as a bandleader, called "Eclectico" (Piano Piano Records).

In 2021 he was awarded a grant by «Cafe Royal Cultural Foundation» to entirely produce his second album, titled «Altar».

In 2021 he was awarded a grant by NYFA City Artists Corps to produce and perform a show with his quintet in New York City.

He has been also part of theater productions including Five Senses (Tango Show, 2015, Thalia Spanish Theater), Macbeth (Shakespeare Play, 2015, Fox Wolf Production), Afrotango (Musical, 2016, Thalia Spanish Theater) and Tangomenaje (Tango Show, 2017, Thalia Spanish Theater), Tango + Tango (Tango Show, 2018, Thalia Spanish Theater), Cinderella Tanguera (2019 & 2020, Teatro SEA), Tango Gotham (2021, Thalia Spanish Theater) & Viva El Tango (2022, Thalia Spanish Theater).

He has studied with Nestor Ibarra (Harmony and Composition), Mariano Otero, Gustavo Giles, Guillermo Delgado, Alejandro Herrera (Electric Bass), Daniel Falasca and Pedro Giraudo (Double Bass) In addition to it, he holds Degree in Jazz Music from the Escuela de Musica Popular de Avellaneda in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
