About Humberto Pernett:
A Colombian musician recognized for blending Caribbean and Colombian music with electronic elements.
From an early age, Pernett experimented with music, producing his own songs on cassette and versions of traditional tunes with synthesizers. His creativity led him to become a prominent figure in Colombian folklore.
After studying musical composition at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Pernett joined Sidestepper, with whom he toured the United States, Mexico, and Europe.
As a solo artist, he released several albums, including "Musica Pa´Pick Up" (2004) and "El Mago" (2009), where he experimented with Pacific sounds and symphonic arrangements.
In 2012, his album "The Caribbean Computer" was acclaimed in Japan and nominated for the Independent Music Awards in Spain in 2013.
In addition to his music career, Pernett has ventured into audiovisual production, starring in the documentary "Región de Maravillas" (2014), exploring the gastronomy and music of the Colombian Atlantic Coast.
Currently, Pernett is a DJ and music producer on the Colombian comedian Andrés López's program "La Noche", and continues to release music through his label "Pernett Records", collaborating with various artists and producing remixes.
About Juan Sebastian Monsalve:
Composer, producer, bassist, sitar player, and arranger born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1973. He serves as the musical director and bassist for the group CURUPIRA, known for their progressive Colombian folklore sound. Additionally, he directs, plays sitar, and performs bass duties for the ensemble COMADRE ARAÑA, which features electronic-vocal elements alongside marimba and drums from the Colombian Pacific region. With a notable career as a leader in jazz ensembles, he brings a wealth of experience and versatility to his musical endeavors.
About Andres Fonseca:
A native of Bogota, Colombia, began his musical journey at the age of 8, delving into percussion and later specializing in jazz drumset performance. After honing his skills at Universidad Sergio Arboleda, he ventured to Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he thrived in the vibrant music scene.
Driven by his passion for Colombian culture, Andres founded Colombianos @ Berklee, a student club dedicated to showcasing Colombian traditions and dispelling stereotypes. His leadership extended to forming Unlimited Perception, a band that has garnered acclaim at prestigious festivals and produced two albums.
Beyond his roles as a bandleader, Andres has made significant contributions as an arranger and composer. His work includes original compositions for therapeutic videos and arrangements of traditional Colombian music for the Boston Latinamerican Orchestra, reflecting his commitment to blending cultural elements in diverse musical contexts.
As a versatile drummer and sideman, Andres's talents have graced numerous albums across a spectrum of genres, ranging from pop/rock to Arabic/jazz fusion and Colombian llanera music. Through his multifaceted musical endeavors, Andres continues to enrich the global music landscape with his creativity and dedication.
About Isaac Matus:
A producer, composer, and sound designer originally from Bogotá, Colombia, now based in Queens, New York since 2018. After relocating to the US in 2013, Matus embarked on his journey as a music producer, honing his skills as an Arranging and Electronic Production student at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
Blending his Colombian and Global South music influences with a variety of contemporary styles, Isaac (also known as Matük) is currently involved in several projects characterized by diverse sonic landscapes, including electronic psychedelic music and tropical rock.
