About Andrea: Andrea Chavarro is a Colombian-American vocalist, songwriter, educator and artistic director. Specializing in all-female ensembles, Andrea is dedicated to filling the gender gap in the New York music scene. The now Brooklyn based artist, spent 9 years abroad in Europe, the Middle East and reconnecting with her roots in Cali, Colombia. While she started her professional career in Jazz during a residency in Istanbul, she is now mainly focused on the richness of diasporic Latinx rhythms.
