Renowned bassist Marcelo Torres will deliver a performance in a Solo Set format, showcasing his talent with a 6-string bass, piano, and voice. In this special presentation, Torres will play music from his most recent album, “Adivino Del Tiempo”, as well as highlighted selections from previous works and unreleased pieces that will be featured in his upcoming record release.

As a tribute to the iconic figure of Argentine music, Luis Alberto Spinetta, with whom he shared the stage in the legendary trio “Spinetta y Los Socios del Desierto”, Marcelo will incorporate musical homages into his repertoire, reviving some of Spinetta’s most memorable songs in a unique and moving interpretation.

Self-taught musician and bassist Marcelo Torres released five albums, including the award-winning “Adivino Del Tiempo,” recognized with the prestigious 2019 Carlos Gardel Prize for best instrumental/fusion/world music album. He was part of “Lito Vitale Cuarteto,” recording six albums and touring globally. Torres performed in significant venues like "Teatro Colón" and Barcelona’s “Teatro Auditori” and collaborated with tango singer Adriana Varela (1993-2004) and rock band “Los Redonditos de Ricota.”

A member of “Spinetta y Los Socios del Desierto,” he participated in numerous shows and six album recordings, also taking part in the historic “Spinetta y las Bandas Eternas” concert at Buenos Aires’ Vélez Sarsfield Stadium. Currently, aside from teaching, Torres leads “Marcelo Torres Trío,” performing extensively at various festivals and venues, including international jazz festivals and prestigious spaces

in Argentina, Cuba, Colombia, and other provinces.

In 2018 and 2019, he held master classes and performed at the renowned Berklee College of Music. Post-pandemic, Torres has been actively performing and conducting master classes in different cities, recently participating in various festivals in September 2022. He is endorsed by globally esteemed brands Fodera and Aguilar amp.
