About Marta Topferova:
One of her generation's most dynamic artists, Marta has been deeply influenced by Latin American, Czech, and Slavic musical traditions. With a foundation in choir singing and music theory, she has also taken lessons in voice, guitar, Venezuelan cuatro, and percussion. Marta has been a creative force in New York (1996-2012) and has collaborated with top musicians from various genres, creating a captivating style mix in her work. From 2012-2020, she returned to the Czech Republic, launching the ensemble Milokraj to explore Czech and Slavic music, simultaneously collaborating with Berlin-based Latin American musicians. In 2020, she relocated to Berlin, where she continues to compose and perform. With nine CDs released, her work has been recognized worldwide, leading to tours across various countries.
About Gabo Naas:
Born in Patagonia, Argentina, Gabo spent his early years playing guitar and bombo drum with his father, developing a deep connection with Latin American music. After learning clarinet in a hometown band, he moved to study and hone his multi-instrumentalist talent. Settling in Córdoba, Argentina, he studied composition with a focus on Latin American music and jazz. Gabo later lived in Buenos Aires (2005-2008), establishing himself as a composer and director of his Latin jazz ensemble. After moving to Berlin, he formed a Latin jazz quartet, wrote film music, and collaborated with various musicians. Recently, he has been focusing on his vocal and guitar repertoire, consisting of modern interpretations of traditional Latin American styles with jazz nuances. With deep knowledge of Argentine and South American music, his experience results in a mature concept where voice and instruments harmoniously create a sophisticated personal sound. In 2023, he will present his album “Del Tiempo y la Distancia," featuring renowned South American musicians.
About Pedro Giraudo:
Latin GRAMMY winner Pedro Giraudo, a prominent bassist and composer, is celebrated for his contribution to tango. Debuting his Tango Orchestra at Lincoln Center in 2015, he's become a vital ambassador for Argentina’s music. His album ‘Vigor Tanguero’ won a Latin GRAMMY in 2018, with significant collaborations and performances across major global stages and festivals, including serving as musical director for various acclaimed tango ensembles and performing with the New York Philharmonic. As a bandleader, his ensembles have graced prestigious venues, earning acclaim for their creative and daring jazz and tango performances, celebrated for their rich improvisations and harmonies. Giraudo’s discography is extensive, with albums like ‘Córdoba’ and ‘El Viaje’ winning numerous accolades. Commissioned for various significant projects, he has also contributed to soundtracks and is the principal bassist of Música de Cámara String Orchestra, endorsed by D’Addario and Keeley Electronics, performing with premium instruments.
