About the event

Monte, Mar y Río is a sonic diary that explores the vast landscape of Latin American and Colombian rhythms through experimental fusion. In an intimate quartet format (vocals, guitar, bass, and percussion), the project deconstructs tradition to deliver a sophisticated and immersive acoustic experience that bridges ancestral roots with the contemporary avant-garde.

The Ensemble

• Lina Silva (Vocals): NYC-based singer and community music therapist; founder of the children's project Cantos al Viento and member of La Manga and Las Melinas.

• Juan Sebastián Monsalve (Bass): Award-winning composer (NYSCA 2026) and a pioneer of Colombian fusion (Curupira); former student of legendary Ennio Morricone.

• Sebastian Cruz (Guitar): A central figure in Brooklyn's "New Colombian Music" scene, renowned for reinventing folk rhythms through creative improvisation.

• Derian Javith Pallares López (Percussion): Colombian Caribbean researcher and educator focused on preserving rhythmic heritage through pedagogy and music therapy.
