About Salomão Soares:
Born and raised in Paraíba but now living in São Paulo, Salomão Soares is just 34 years old and has already emerged as one of the leading figures in the new generation of Brazilian pianists.
A pianist, arranger, and composer, he has released seven albums, the most recent being "Interior," a solo album released on a European tour in late 2023. He has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Brazilian music, including Hermeto Pascoal, Leny Andrade, João Bosco, Toninho Horta, Arismar do Espírito Santo, and Hamilton de Holanda (with whom he has recorded three albums and been nominated for a Latin Grammy).
About Dennis Boolyoins:
Dennis Boolyoins was born and raised in Brazil's northeastern city of João Pessoa. He started his formal music education at the age of nine, attending classes at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB). Shortly after earning his Bachelor of Music from UFPB, Dennis won the 2009 public contest for Technical Musician at the same institution, where he held a tenure position as the university's professional performing percussionist/drummer and teacher for the music extension courses for 10 years. Dennis holds the title of "XI Batuka! Master" after winning first place in Brazil's most prestigious international drum contest, Batuka! Brasil, 2010. While living in Brazil, he performed with several artists including Sivuca, Maria Creuza, Marinês, Lucy Alves, Oswaldinho do Acordeon, Letieres Leite, Antonio Barros e Cecéu, Proveta, Silvério Pontes, and the Paraiba Symphony Orchestra. Since 2014, when Dennis moved to NY to pursue a Master in Jazz Studies at Queens College, he has been involved with different artists and groups, playing and sharing the stage with names like Helio Alves, Ari Hoenig, Eduardo Belo, Ehud Asherie, and Roni Ben-Hur, among many others. In 2022, Dennis published two books about Brazilian drumming. Since 2023, Dennis has been touring around the globe with Bebel Gilberto, playing music from her new album "João."
About Vinicius Gomes:
Guitarist, guitarist and composer, releasing in 2017 his first album entirely authorial, “Resilience”, dedicated to merge the Brazilian universe to modern jazz.
He has performed with important composers and performers, such as Zizi Possi (with whom he acts as guitarist and arranger in the show “À Flor da Pele”), Rosa Passos, Jane Duboc, Arthur Verocai and Oswaldinho do Acordeon, as well as names of instrumental music such as Toninho Ferragutti (with whom he recorded the album “A Gata Café”, winner of the Brazilian Music Award 2017), Thiago Espirito Santo, Robertinho Silva and Mestrinho. He has also worked with orchestras such as OSESP and Jazz Sinfônica de SP.
He has a master’s degree from ECA/USP, where he wrote the work “Helio Delmiro – Compositions for Guitar Solo”, winner of PROAC 2015 in the instrumental music category.
He has been participating in various Brazilian instrumental music authorial works with musicians such as Daniel de Paula, Guilherme Ribeiro, Rafael Abdalla and Alexandre Silverio, besides being one of the leaders of the group KVAR.
He has performed in festivals such as: Festival Internacional de Jazz de Buenos Aires (ARG), Festival de Jazz do Capão (Chapada Diamantina – BA), Jazz a La Calle (Mercedes – Uruguay), Bourbon Street Festival (Paraty – RJ), FIMUPA (Belém – PA) Festival de Jazz de La Plata (ARG), Festival de Garanhuns (PE), SESC Jazz & Blues (SP). He has also performed in Finland, Sweden and Colombia.
