Join the ongoing zapateado workshop with Julia del Palacio, offered every Saturday from 1 to 3 pm starting February 3rd at Terraza 7. A $15 donation is suggested. This workshop is presented in collaboration with Son Jarocho NY, a collective dedicated to the dissemination and preservation of traditional son jarocho on the East Coast. About Julia del Palacio: Julia is a dancer, cultural manager, and historian who has performed with traditional music and Latin jazz ensembles on both local and international stages, including Joe’s Pub, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris in CDMX, Kennedy Center, Flushing Town Hall, Terraza 7, Jalopy Theatre, and Live at the Gantries. She has been teaching traditional zapateado jarocho for 15 years and is one of the most experienced dancers currently working in the United States.
