“Shota 12” is a newly launched 12-piece Jazz ensemble lead by Shota Li, Japan-born pianist, composer and arranger. While performing as a pianist in various settings, he developed himself as a composer and arranger over the past few years. During his 6 years serving as a composer / arranger for Kyoto Composers Jazz Orchestra, he contributed more than 40 compositions, arrangements and released four CDs in Japan. After moving to New York in 2015, Shota 12 is the primary vehicle to showcase his music featuring young musicians from across the globe.
